Very friendly staff. Very delicious empanadas. They have over 50 different ones you can order. I had the spinach cheese one & pizza empanada. Both were delicious. I'll definitely be back to try some more.
The dulce y queso and the Nutella empanadas are so good as well as the mozzarepas. They also put me onto this quena oat milk, too fire!
Nice little spot with a great variety of empanadas (50 flavors to choose from). I tried the Spicy Chicken (wheat flour patty) and Black Bean & Cheese (black beans feta mozz cheese inside maiz patty). The Spicy Chicken was delicious - not very spicy in terms of heat, but the flavor definitely used a lot of (delicious) spices. Chicken tasted high quality. The wheat flour (fried) patty was perfectly crisp. The Black Bean & Cheese was surprisingly filling and I loved the mix of the feta and mozz cheese - it made for a super gooey texture. The maiz patty was a great flavor and had a good crunch too. Service was friendly and smiley. Nice music playing in the background and had good AC inside. Price was very affordable and worth it for the quality. Will definitely come back.
Mama’s Empanadas has been around for so many years now, and honestly, they never miss! Ever since I first discovered them, I’ve stayed loyal to a few favorites — and they’re still the only ones I get: • Broccoli and cheese (with the corn shell) • Spinach and cheese (baked) • Platano with cheese • And on a good day, the caramel and cheese — it’s a must! If you’re someone who’s been going there for a while too, let me know your favorite empanadas! I’m curious if I’m missing out on any others. That being said, I definitely recommend Mama’s — they’re a classic for a reason!
The empanadas at Mama’s Empanadas are delicious. The arepa was tasty too, but I thought it was a little small for the price. The staff was super friendly, and overall, the prices were reasonable. I’ll definitely return for those delicious empanadas!
This location is better than the one in jackson heights. I suggested this to bae as an option for small bites before heading home. He's never had. He got some of the corn empanadas, I like the wheat one. I got 1 cheese and 2 beefs. They were really yummy. Service is hectic, it has potential to get really busy with long wait times but this one we got it within 10 mins or less. Water bottle was 2.18, that's kind of a lot for a bottle. We'll be back.
Great lunch spot. There are more than 15 empanadas to choose from. The empanadas are fresh, the filling of each is to the top (when you bite into one, you taste food and not just dough for the first two bites)and they are hot. There are also other food choices at this location.
Stopped by Mama's Empanadas for a late lunch. Ordered ground beef Empanadas in wheat and corn meal crusts. Both were delicious. The cheese empanadas were delicious, too, cheesy with a crispy crust. Will definitely be going back in the near future.
